Libby,

Thanks for sharing all this information. I haven't reviewed it all yet, but I note that you have:

>Elisabeth Leclerc, born 09 Feb 1780 in Quebec, Quebec; died 17 Jan 1784

This would mean that she only lived to be 4, so one of these dates must be incorrect. According to one source she had 18 children the last of which was born on 13 Jan 1831. So that day would be the earlest she could have died (assuming that date is correct).

I also have an alternate birth date of 11 Aug 1770.

Below is my information on Elizabeth Leclerc. I don't have all her children in my database yet. Note that most of my information is from Rootsweb databases and hasn't been verified.

GOOD CATCH!!

This couple had 2 children named Elisabeth and I have the wrong stats for our ancestor.

The second Elisabeth was baptized Marie-Elisabeth on Feb 17, 1785 at Quebec City, Quebec
PRDH 627462 Other information besides parentage not given

It is always good to have someone catch things like this because sometimes it gets confusing as to who is whom.

Thanks again.

I Looked further into the "Elisabeth-Louise" All that I find is a deceased daughter named Louise who was born after our ancestor in 1793.

Here are the children that I found in the PrDH. I also have a second and third marriage for Louis-Julien Leclerc. The third marriage shows one child.

If you see anything glaring at you please let me know.

Libby,

I don't have in my notes where I got the Louise of Louise-Elizabeth from, but from your info and another review of various databases on Rootsweb, it appears that the persion is really:

Marie-Elisabeth Leclerc b: 17 Feb 1785 in Quebec, Quebec

I have found that the dob I had (11 Aug 1770) is also the dob of her husband, Benoni Nadeau, so this must be a mistake. So I am going with the above information you provided and that I also saw on a rootsweb database here:

http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=kpoirier&id=I069363

I think the approximated dod I had still stands.

Rejoake,

>This is not an mistake Bénoni Nadeau has married Marie Elisabeth Leclerc in second marriage the 17 june 1805 à St-Andre' Kamouraska Quebec She is the daughter of Louis Leclerc and feu Madeleine Chevalier.

The mistake I was referring to was the DOB I had for Marie Elisabeth since it was the same date I had for her husband's DOB. I presumed that I made a mistake in my data entry. I have since changed it to 17 Feb 1785. Can you confirm that as being the correct DOB?

My other information agrees with everything you have said above.

Regards,
James
