Hafford Family

Post by haffordj »

Hi all,
I am interested in genalogical/historical items relating to the Hafford Family descended from John Hafford jr. and John Hafford (sometimes spelled Harford) both settlers dating back to around 1817-1820 . I have been reading many primary sources and will be sure to share relevant materials with you all for your own review and consideration. My interests currently focus on the American Settlers, and Maine State History, relating to the St. John River valley.

Hey Justin, A belated welcome!

Thanks also for the document link you've posted.

As you'll see there's info in a number of documents on the website that include the Haffords, and if you haven't already seen this, there are a couple of posts in the "Maine and Massachusetts" part of the discussion board on this family: http://upperstjohn.com/discuss/viewforum.php?f=10

Thanks. I have some other interesting documents that I will post. I recently scanned some photocopies of letters that Don Cyr had collected and written a paper on, entitled "The Hafford Letters." He has graciously given his permission to use these.
