Ebenezer Greeley (1837 census) letter from Fredericton jail

Post by ChipG »

Larry Glatz has located a letter written by Greeley from the Fredericton jail where he was being held in June 1837, after being arrested by New Brunswick authorities for taking the census of the Madawaska settlement for the state of Maine.

Larry's transcription of the letter is here: Letter from Ebenezer Greeley to Major General Isaac Hodson

Thanks to Larry for providing me with this transcription of the letter, as well as some background info.
