Ste-Luce church, Frenchville, records

Post by ChipG »

I've got the microfilm of these records and am going to try to set up an index (the first decade has a name index at the end of each year, I guess Father Dionne had a lot of extra time around the new year... :)

Maybe I'll put the index on line, but not sure when it'll happen. If any questions about this, here's the place to ask.

I'm very interested in the work you are doing regarding putting the church records on-line. I'm willing to help you financially in this endeavor. Many of my ancestors have records in that church and it would be a wealth of information for my genealogical search. Please let me know.
Sincerely, Steve

Ste Luce Cemetary plot and listing

Post by YankieCajun »

I have recently posted the Ste Luce Cemetary plot and alphabetic listing of the existing headstones based on the survey that was done a couple of years ago on my web site at http://royandboucher.com/

There are certainly other people buried in the cemetary who are not in the listing, since I remember as a youngster growing up a stone's throw from the church when the parish priest cleared out all the metal crosses from the cemetary.

Direct link to cemetary plot pages is http://www.royandboucher.com/ste_luce/ste_luce.php

and to the alphabetically listing is
http://www.royandboucher.com/ste_luce/s ... isting.php

If the people are in my genealogy database, I am also building links to their information.
