Prospère moved in the summer of 1831 from Kamouraska to Frenchville. We know that his sister Félicité and her husband Pierre Landry had moved a couple of years earlier.

Why did Prospère decide to join them? Why did they leave Kamouraska to move to the Madawaska settlement area?

I've recently discovered that Prospère and his family were living in Trois Pistoles, in Rimouski Co., at the time of the 1825 census. It is thus probable that they were living there at the time of their move to Frenchville in 1831. Still unknown: why they moved, why they ended up where they did.
