Willie Nightengale

Hi, I am looking for info on this person. I found him in the 1900 census, a 12 yo son of Fred Nightingale from New Sweden. No sign of him in 1910. Shows up in 1920 married to Julia Mattie Guerette living in Stockholm with 6 children. And nothing for him or his family in 1930.
Story has it that he was sent to jail for incest (when, where), his wife divorced him, moved to Waterville, Maine, and changed her name to Rossignol. The children followed, and changed their names alse. Except for 1 Walter Nightingale.
When Willie came our of prison, he remarried and settled in the same area.
Can anyone help ????/
