When and why did Nyzaire St.Jean move?

Why did Nyzaire move from Île-Verte to northern Maine? What was the exact date of his move?
The only information I have on this is the fact that he married Christine Ouellette on 8 July 1861 in Frenchville. In 1860 she was living with her family in Twp.16, R.12., on the St.John River above the St.Francis.
So Nyzaire must have settled in that same area, called the Castonia Settlement.
