I received an email query on this couple.
Is this Joseph the son of Jos.St.Pierre and Clementine Jalbert?
What is the exact date of their marriage? Who are Sophie's parents?

Joseph and Sophie are my mothers great grand parents. According to the tombstone at St John cemetary Sophie, wife of Joseph, was born Feb 1849. St Luce church records indicate she was born 24 Feb 1849 and christened 25Feb 1849. Her parents are Francoise Xavier Pelletier and Marie Exhibert Ouellette, m St Luce 1 jun 1847. In the 1860 census of Aroostook, Francoise Xavier (Zavier) resides with his daighters Sophie and Anne. There is also another younger sister, Angelique. I have not found the marraige record of Joseph and Sophie. I did inquire to Univ Ft Kent, Maine archive and the Assistant Director of the Archive, Mr Nicholas Hawes, checked into the matter and agrees that the Sophie, daughter of Marie and Xavier is the same Sophie that married Joseph. I have other info on the family if any one is interested.
