2. (124.). Robert GARDHOUSE was born about 1789 in Chapel Burn, Cumberland, England. He was baptized on 28 Sep 1789 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England.⁽⁷⁾ He worked as a laborer in Brampton, Cumberland, England.

He moved with his family to York, Upper Canada (Toronto, Ontario) about 1832.

He died on 29 August 1852 and is buried in St.Johns Cemetery, York Mills, Ontario. (Tombstone gives age at time of death as 64 years.)

Robert GARDHOUSE was married to Ann HOLMES on 2 Jan 1813 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England. ⁽⁸⁾ Witnesses were Jane Gardhouse, John Holmes and William Holmes.

3. (125.). Ann HOLMES was born 15 Jul 1787 in Abbey Lanercost, Cumberland, England. She was baptized on 26 Jul 1788 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England.⁽⁹⁾ Children were:

His obituary in 1902 says he was survived by two sisters and a brother "who reside at Ontario but their advanced age prevented their attendance at the funeral services."

iv. Sarah GARDHOUSE was born 11 Nov 1818.
v. Robert GARDHOUSE was born 18 Apr 1820.
