13. (501). Margaret NICHOLSON was born about 1700. (33) She died in 1788 in Hare Hill, Cumberland, England. She was buried on 5 Mar 1788 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England. (34) (The register notes that she died at the age of 88.) Children were:

child i. Stephen HOLMES was born in 1742 in Hare Hill, Cumberland, England. He was baptized on 10 Oct 1742 in Hare Hill, Cumberland, England. (35) He died in Dec 1825 in Hare Hill, Cumberland, England. He was buried on 15 Dec 1825 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England. (36) The register notes that he died at the age of 82. He married Mary ARMSTRONG of Lanercost parish 4 Nov 1773. (Witnesses were John Holm and Edward Holm). They had the following children, all born at Hare Hill (including dates of baptism at Lanercost parish): Margaret, 23 Nov 1774; Dinah, 24 Sep 1776; John, 20 Feb 1788. Mary was buried at Lanercost on 7 Sep 1826 at the age of 83.
child ii. John HOLMES was born in 1744 in Hare Hill, Cumberland, England. He was baptized on 30 Jun 1744 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England. (37) He was a Blacksmith in Kingsbridge Ford and Westhall, Cumberland, England. He married Ann ROBSON of Lanercost parish 31 Jan 1771. (Witnesses were Thomas Burtholm and Thomas Robson.) They lived in Kingbridge Ford (Kingwater), Cambridge until about 1781, when they moved to nearby Westhall. They had the following children (including date of baptism at Lanercost parish): George, 11 Nov 1771; John, 23 Feb 1774; Ann, 6 May 1776; Thomas, 9 Aug 1778; Ann, 26 Nov 1780; Edward, 8 Feb 1783; Stephen, 1 May 1785; Elizabeth, 30 Jun 1791; William, 28 Jul 1794.
