He appeared on the US census in 1860 in Township 17, Range 8, Aroostook, Maine.⁽²¹⁾ Listed as Flavie, living in his father's household (Edward Gilbert), age 19. He appeared on the census in 1880 in Township 15, Range 11, Aroostook, Maine. ⁽²²⁾ Listed as Florm (spelling not clear), age 37, farmer, living with wife Margaret (40) and children Joseph (15), Mary (11), and Margaret (8). He died on 22 Oct 1887 in St. Francis, Maine.⁽²³⁾ He was buried 26 Oct 1887 in St. Charles Cemetery, St. Francis, Maine.⁽²⁴⁾ Witnesses at the burial were Joseph Jalbert (Fleurent's brother) and Cyril Pelletier.

He was married to Marguerite PELLETIER (daughter of Desiré PELLETIER and Marie VIOLET) on 2 May 1864 in Ste-Luce Church, Frenchville, Maine. ⁽²⁵⁾ Witnesses were Edward Jalbert and George Gagny. (Date is given as April 17 in Maynard Jalbert's "A Chronological Genealogy...") Marguerite PELLETIER was born in 1839. She died on 3 Mar 1908 in St. Francis, New Brunswick.
