He appeared on the census in 1900 in Township 15, Range 11, Aroostook, Maine. ⁽¹⁰⁵⁾ Listed as Frank Gilbert, born Jan 1885 in Maine, age 15, cook, could not read or write, spoke English, living in household with brothers William, Joseph, Baptist, Willard, Samuel and Edward and sister Lizzie. He died on 28 Mar 1967 in Fort Kent, Maine.⁽⁴⁾

He was married to Clara SOUCY (daughter of Theophile SOUCY and Clara MICHAUD) on 22 Jun 1908 in Eagle Lake, Maine. ⁽¹⁰⁷⁾ Clara SOUCY was born on 10 Jun 1887.⁽⁹⁵⁾ She died in May 1977 in Fort Kent, Maine.⁽⁹⁵⁾ François (Frank) JALBERT and Clara SOUCY had the following children:
