120. Simon HEWARD died in Nov 1707 in Tercrosset, Cumberland, England. He was buried on 7 Nov 1707 in Lanercost, Cumberland, England. (51) (There is also listed a Simon Hewart of Burthinghurst, buried at Lanercost 18 May 1718 (p.57 of registry). This may be the son of John, b.1694, since that family was living at Burthinghurst at the time, and moved from Tercrosset sometime between 1696 and 1708. Or it may be John's father Simon Hewart, assuming he moved with his son and his family to Burthinghurst.) The Fine Book of the Barony of Gilsland, which lists tenants and changes of tenancy made between 1655 and 1685, notes in the section on "Treddermaine Mannor" that Tercrosset's tenant in 1655 was John Ruetledg, but that sometime before 1685 (no date is given), Symon Hewart succeeded him as tenant there.
