He appeared on the census in 1850 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vt.. ⁽⁴⁾ (Listed as Vest Burnham, 65, farmer, born in Vermont, living with wife Olive (61) and children Orville (28), Laura (26), and Emiline (17).) He died on 16 May 1860 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vt..⁽⁵⁾ (Cause of death is given as "palsy.") He was buried on 17 May 1860 in Old Cemetary, Middletown, Vermont. He was married to Olive HONEY (or HOVEY).

15. Olive HONEY (or HOVEY) was born about 1790.⁽⁶⁾ She appeared on the census in 1850 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vt..⁽⁷⁾ (Listed as Olive Burnham, 61, born in Vermont, living with husband Sylvester and children Orville, Laura and Emiline.) She died on 20 May 1857 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vt..⁽⁸⁾ She was buried on 21 May 1857 in Old Cemetary, Middletown, Vermont. (Possibly the daughter of John Honie, listed in the 1790 US Census of Vermont in Alburgh Township, Chittenden County, in household with 3 males under the age of 16 and 4 females. He is the only person of that last name in that census. Or the name may be Hovey, of which there were several in Vermont.) Children were:

i. Harriett BURNHAM was born on 5 Mar 1815 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. She died on 3 May 1889 in Vandalia, Michigan. She married Leonard Thompson 25 April 1841.
ii. Susan BURNHAM.
iii. Cyrus BURNHAM was born on 27 Apr 1819 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. He died on 22 Feb 1864. He married Hannah Rowe Spencer.
iv. Orville BURNHAM was born on 29 Aug 1821 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. He died on 8 Dec 1879 in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
v. Laura BURNHAM was born in 1823 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. She died in Nov 1896 in Baraboo, Wisc.. She married Raymond Hazeltine on 5 September 1850.

vii. Alfred BURNHAM was born on 13 Feb 1830 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. He died on 6 May 1896 in Baraboo, Wisc.. He married Calista Perry (b.30 Jul 1830) on 18 September 1855.
viii. Evaline BURNHAM was born on 18 Sep 1833 in Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. She died on 4 Apr 1869 in Baraboo, Wisc..
ix. Adelia Ann BURNHAM was bornin Middletown, Rutland Co., Vermont. She died on 18 May 1861 in Norwood, Ontario. She married Samuel James Friffen in 1826 in Middletown, Vermont.
