9008. Jessé de FOREST immigrated in 1624 to New Holland (New York). (4226) In 1624 Jessé became the head of a large group of Huguenot (protestant) emigrés from Holland and French Flanders who established themselves on the Hudson River, around where New Amsterdam would be founded in 1626. He was born in Avesnes, Flanders. He was married to Marie DUCLOUX in 1601 in Avesnes, Flanders.(4227)
