6008. Pierre GAGNON was born about Feb 1612 in La Gaignonnière, Tourouvre, Perche, France. He was baptized on 14 Feb 1612 in Ste-Madeleine de La Ventrouze, Perche, France.⁽⁴¹⁰⁹⁾ He emigrated to New France (Québec) in 1635. Opened with brothers Mathurin and Jean a store (60 feet frontage by 24 feet deep) on rue St-Pierre, in the lower town of Quebec city. The store was sold to Pierre Pellerin 9 Oct 1668. Received a land concession in Chateau Richer, 6-1/2 arpents of river frontage by 126 arpents deep. He died on 17 Apr 1699 in Château-Richer, Québec.

He was married to Vincente DESVARIEUX on 14 Feb 1642 in N. Dame de Québec. They had ten children; two sons and one daughter married. One son became a priest, one daughter became a nun, and the other five died at a young age.

6009. Vincente DESVARIEUX⁽⁴¹¹⁰⁾ was born in 1624 in St-Vincent d'Aubermail (Cramesnil), Caux, diocese of Rouen, Normandy, France. She died on 2 Jan 1695 in Château-Richer, Québec. She was buried on 3 Jan 1695 in Château-Richer, Québec. Children were:

i. Jean GAGNON was born about May 1643 in Québec-ville, Québec. He was baptized on 3 May 1643 in Québec-ville, Québec. He died on 27 Oct 1699 in Château-Richer, Québec.
ii. Anne GAGNON⁽⁴¹¹¹⁾ was born about Jun 1643 in Québec-ville, Québec. She was baptized on 25 Jun 1643 in Québec-ville, Québec. She died before 1666.

v. Pierre-Paul GAGNON⁽⁴¹¹²⁾ was born about Sep 1649 in Québec-ville, Québec. He was baptized on 5 Sep 1649 in Québec-ville, Québec. He was ordained on 21 Dec 1677 in Québec-ville, Québec.⁽⁴¹¹³⁾⁽⁴¹¹⁴⁾ Ordained by Mgr. De Laval; was the third priest ordained in Quebec He died on 6 Apr 1711 in Beaupré, Québec. (drowned)
vi. Joseph GAGNON was born on 27 Dec 1651 in Québec-ville, Québec. He was baptized on 19 Feb 1652 in Québec-ville, Québec. He died between 16 May 1678 and 1681.
vii. Marie-Madeleine GAGNON was born on 10 Feb 1655 in Québec-ville, Québec. She was baptized on 12 Feb 1655 in Québec-ville, Québec. She began her novitiate in 1665; entered the Augustine convent (Mere des Anges) in Quebec city at the age of 13; was ordained on 5 Jun 1669, and took final vows 26 Mar 1671 in Québec-ville, Québec.⁽⁴¹¹⁵⁾⁽⁴¹¹⁶⁾ She died on 22 Mar 1677 in Québec-ville, Québec. Upon her death she was described by the nuns of the Hotel de Dieu in Quebec as "truly comparable to the angels in her purity, her spirit of peace and sweetness and for her devotion...".
