Cyr Plantation

(formerly Letter L, Range 2)

Cyr Plantation was formerly known as Township Letter L, 2nd Range. It was named after the Cyr family, the most numerous in the Madawaska territory.

• In the 1850 US census, what is now Cyr Plantation was included in Van Buren Plantation; based on the location of families in the 1860 census, Cyr Plantation seems to have been covere on pages 136a-136b.
• In the 1860 US census, what is now Cyr Plantation was enumerated as Township Letter L.
