I have a good article that was in Aroostook Republican, an interview done about 1957 of aunt Easter Jackson Wife of Aron and Daughter of Will Mullins. she was oldest person in Allagash, in her 90's. she talks of her father and the big Ice Jam

Dear Sharon, Thanks for posting the info, You and Mr. Holems are correct. It seems the Harfords came from the Kennebec valley by way of moosehead lake, The Allagash lakes and river before 1814. Being the best of rugged rivermen they could have scouted the area before that. John sr. and son landed at...
