I've just put online a page on the St-François-Xavier de Madawaska parish.

From 1846 until 1858 it was a mission parish of Ste Luce, served by Father Henri Dionne.

In January 1859 it became its own, independent parish.

Online documents so far include the census taken by Fr. Dionne of the St.François parish in December 1857;

The document signed by the Bishop of New Brunswick setting forth the conditions for establishing the parish of St-François, from 1846

A list of the founding families of the new parish, in the form of a list of those who paid "pew rent", with amounts paid from 1847-1857

And of course, all of the acts of baptism, marriage and burial of the parishioners in St-François are searchable in the Ste Luce database

And there's more to come!
