David Gardner (Esther Gardner's father): Where's he from?

David Gardner came from Scotland, ended up settling in Rivière du Loup. He was married to Elizabeth Forrester.

Where did he come from? Why did he come to Quebec?

Some of the mystery of David Gardner is resolved.

He is from Scotland, served in the British military in different places. He was sent to Quebec with a military regiment, and ended up settling there.
