Marie-Rose Gagnon and Basile Albert


1. Marie-Rose GAGNON was born on 25 May 1850 in Frenchville, Maine.(1) She appeared on the 1850 US census in Madawaska Plantation, Maine, as Mary Gorme, 2 months old, born in Maine, living with parents Anthony and Octan.(2) She appeared on the 1860 US census in Township 18, Range 5, Aroostook, Maine, as Mary Gagnon, age 10, living with parents Antoine and Ortans Gagnon.(3)

She was married to Basile ALBERT (son of Basile ALBERT and Anastasie COLLIN). Basile ALBERT was born on 8 Feb 1846. He appeared on the 1861 New Brunswick census as age 14, living in the household of his father Basile and mother Anastasie.(Madawaska parish, p.8)

Marie-Rose GAGNON and Basile ALBERT were married on 19 Jul 1868 in Ste-Luce Church, Frenchville, Maine (witnesses included Raphaƫl Albert and Antoine Gagnon). (4) They appeared in the 1870 US census in Dickeyville (Frenchville), as Basil and Mary Albert, ages 23 and 20; also in the household was Joseph Albert, age 1. Marie-Rose GAGNON and Basile ALBERT had the following children:
