He appeared on the census in 1870 in Lyndon, Aroostook, Maine.(245) (Listed as age 38, farmer, real estate worth $500, personal estate worth $200, born in New Brunswick, both parents of foreign birth, US citizen, living with Esther (29), George (14), Mary J. (13), James F. (9), Maria (8), William (6), John (4), Abigail (2), and Cornley Gambon (70).)
